The TIME Center and its partners are offering a suite of Lean Enterprise courses and services that will enable organizations to address growing needs for improved productivity and competitiveness. As organizations explore ways to meet their customers challenges and opportunities, many are adding lean principles and techniques to their organizational toolbox. Access to high quality, high value services is essential, and the Lean Training Partnership can satisfy that requirement.

Capabilities

Trainers for the one day workshops are experienced lean consultants who will provide an in-depth introduction, simulations and hands-on applications in each course. In addition to the workshops, customized training and on-site consulting can be arranged at your workplace to further adopt and implement lean techniques. The Maryland Technology Extension Service can also provide organizational assessments and other technical assistance to manufacturing organizations through its Manufacturing Extension Partnership services and its relationship with the University of Maryland faculty.

Fall 2007 Conference A Success Maryland stakeholders from business, government and academia heard from such Maryland-based manufacturers as General Motors, Lockheed Martin, Johnson Controls, Coca Cola Constellation NewEnergy and Marlin Steel Wire Products who provided examples of how their green manufacturing initiatives have increased their profitability while also benefiting the environment. Both federal and Maryland state government agencies provided insights on their programs, some of them free, to help companies become more efficient and less polluting to help industry better understand “how to go green.”
Nearly 200 people including students, teachers, and leaders of business government and labor participated in RMI’s Women and Minorities in Manufacturing and Engineering program hosted by Northrop Grumman. VIEW a VIDEO from this event...
Energy Conservation is the way to immediate cost savings. That was the message at the Feb 23rd Energy Conservation – Wise Choices for Manufacturers program. One hundred nine people attended the event.
